The NEPSE index, which measures share trading, fell by 4.18 points on Monday. The overall NEPSE fell by 0.14 percent compared to last Friday to 2,833.60 points. On Friday, the NEPSE closed down by 13.45 points.
Of the 13 sub-groups that were traded on that day, 105 companies increased in value. 153 companies decreased in value and 12 remained unchanged.
On Monday, 21,63,793 shares were bought and sold in a total of 111,180 share transactions. Shares worth 8.6655 billion rupees were traded in those transactions. This is a decrease in the trading amount compared to the previous trading day. Shares worth 8.9932 billion rupees were traded on Friday.
Of the 13 sub-groups that were traded, the banking, development banks, finance companies, life insurance, microfinance, others and trade indices decreased. The remaining hotel and tourism, hydropower, investment, production and processing, mutual funds, and non-life insurance companies indices decreased.
