Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle has said that removing Nepal from the 'Grey List' is the government's first priority. In a discussion with the Economic Journalists' Association Sejan on Monday, Finance Minister Wagle said that the government is working to remove Nepal from the 'Grey List' as it is internationally disgraceful and has prioritized it within the stipulated time.

He also said that this will have a negative impact on the investment environment. He also said that the investigations conducted for years into financial crimes including money laundering will be based on cases that have been advanced based on irrefutable evidence. He also said that the government's aim is to impose a large financial penalty on the three even if the industrialists have committed major financial crimes. 'We have no intention of selectively punishing institutions or individuals.' We believe in an open market economic policy. That does not mean a free economy,' he said.

Finance Minister Wagle also said that the work of adjudicating justice in other crimes will be done by the courts. "We are not taking action against anyone, we are just moving forward according to the law," he said. "We are not exempting anyone from crime. But we are not arresting the private sector."
