The Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) and the National Statistics Office have signed an agreement to assist in the collection, analysis, research and policy formulation of reliable data related to the national economy.
Quality and timely data are considered essential for the country's economic development, industrial expansion and effective policy formulation. The agreement was signed in line with the national strategy for data system development, the strategy of coordinating cooperation with government agencies and private sector organizations to enhance statistical quality by strengthening the collection, analysis and utilization of data related to economic activities related to the private sector.
The agreement was signed at a program organized at the National Statistics Office on Monday in the presence of Office Chief Dr. Kamal Prasad Pokharel and Confederation President Birendra Raj Pandey by Office Director Dr. Bed Prasad Dhakal and Confederation Director General Dr. Ghanshyam Ojha.
Confederation President Pandey said that the collaboration will help in strengthening the collection, analysis and utilization of economic data related to the private sector. Statistics Office Chief Dr. Pokharel said that collaboration between the government and private sectors in developing statistical systems will help in improving the quality and expanding the use of data related to the national economy.
