Suketar Airport has had a flight on Monday morning after three weeks. According to the Corporation's station in-charge Narayan Kumar Karki, flights had not been possible since Chaitra 4 due to adverse weather.
On Monday, a plane carrying 13 passengers from Kathmandu returned from Taplejung with 11 passengers, informed the station in-charge Karki.
The Taplejung-Kathmandu fare has also reached 12,000 rupees. Earlier, it was 9,400. The fare has increased due to the increase in fuel prices, The Corporation has been operating flights only at Suketar Airport.
Due to the weather, in some cases, flights had to be returned from the sky, and in some cases, flights had to be returned after reaching Taplejung but could not land. Since the first week of Chaitra, continuous rain, thick fog and wind had hampered flights.
The Corporation's Twin Otter aircraft has been operating Kathmandu-Taplejung-Kathmandu flights three days a week, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The Corporation has also stated that the next flight will be on Friday only.
