A team led by NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal President Surendra Kumar Upreti met Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle on Monday and discussed the situation and problems of Nepal's automobile sector. He suggested that this would increase the revenue received by the government and increase employment. During the discussion, Minister Wagle assured auto entrepreneurs that the government is considering how to increase revenue collection, wants to reduce tax rates to increase revenue, and is going to expand the scope of revenue, saying that it is going to bring a private sector-friendly policy.

NADA Chairman Upreti clarified that exemptions should be given on imported raw materials to boost Nepal's automobile industry and that industries are facing difficulties despite the ease of CKD.
'Although automobile items such as tires, tubes, batteries, lubricants and helmets are being produced in Nepal, the government does not have the equipment to measure their quality,' Chairman Upreti told Minister Wagle. A statement issued by NADA mentions that Chairman Upreti also submitted a 36-point written opinion and suggestion on behalf of NADA during the meeting.
During the discussion, outgoing NADA Chairman Karan Chaudhary said that there is great potential for automobile component industries in Nepal.
