In the context of the excessive price increase in fuel and construction materials due to the war in West Asia, Minister Lamsal committed to addressing the problem of price increase by issuing a directive within two weeks. Minister Lamsal informed that arrangements will be made for price increase in all contracts with a period of one year. Stating that a decision has been made to transfer funds so that there will be no payment problems in the construction industry in the future, Minister Lamsal said that a special system has been established to monitor the misuse of mobilization advances.
Minister Lamsal informed that the project chief will be made responsible so that there is no delay in payment and 'VO'. Stating that the process of amending the Public Procurement Act to make it construction industry-friendly has moved forward, Minister Lamsal clarified that the Federation will also be involved in the amendment process.
Newly elected Federation President Pandey drew Minister Lamsal's attention to resolving the problem of sick contracts. Stating that contracts should not be allowed to become 'sick' as much as possible, Minister Lamsal clarified that the problem of sick contracts will be resolved by adopting maximum flexibility by classifying them as necessary.
