The NEPSE index, which measures share trading, has increased by 5.82 points. On the last trading day of the week, the NEPSE increased by 0.20 percent and closed at 2,782.18 points.
Even though the overall NEPSE index increased, the number of companies whose share prices decreased is higher. The share prices of 158 companies that were traded decreased. In total, only 98 companies increased their share prices, while the prices of 12 companies remained stable.
A total of 13,255 shares were bought and sold, with 21,118,929 shares being bought and sold. Shares worth 8.819723 billion rupees were traded in those purchases and sales.
Among the sub-groups that entered the business, only the development banks, hotels and tourism, hydropower, investment, production and processing, collective investment funds, and trade sub-groups increased. Banking, finance, life insurance, microfinance, non-life insurance, and other sub-groups decreased.
