The Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) has welcomed the government led by Prime Minister Balendra Shah's decision to repeal irrelevant and outdated laws and implement policy reforms. The Confederation, a representative body of manufacturing and service industries, has stated that the newly formed government has prioritized the implementation of the suggestions continuously given by the Confederation. The Confederation believes that the government will take the country forward by keeping the public desire to maintain good governance and end corruption as a high priority.  

The Confederation has welcomed the government's decision to repeal the Foreign Investment Restriction Act, the Compensation Act, the Black Market and Some Other Social Crimes and Punishment Act, and the Nepal Agency Act, as suggested by the Confederation. The Confederation has also welcomed the decision to abolish the Revenue Investigation Department.

The Confederation has stated that it is positive that the government is prioritizing issues such as transforming public service delivery into a fully digital, single-door and interconnected system, promoting good governance, controlling corruption and increasing transparency and accountability in public service delivery, making the implementation of national pride and large strategic projects quick, timely and quality; fast-tracking the processes related to land acquisition, compensation determination, tree felling and environmental impact assessment report approval, making the public procurement process fully digital, transparent and trackable, and encouraging competition.

The government has given priority to the following issues: to maintain high alertness of security agencies and make special security arrangements for the protection of industries, commercial centers, banking infrastructure and supply chains, to activate the Industry-Commerce Dialogue Council chaired by the Prime Minister for continuous dialogue and coordination with the private sector, to automate tax administration, to enter into power purchase agreements, to immediately implement the private sector protection and promotion strategy, to automate tax administration, to control revenue leakage and to provide simple services to taxpayers, to prepare a framework for integrating similar funds and investing the money in high-return projects, to issue a health tourism strategy to make Nepal a health tourism hub, and to start the process of determining the minimum support price of major food crops. The Confederation has stated that it is confident that the government will also give high priority to collaboration with the private sector for overall economic development.
