The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index, which measures stock market activity, fell by 24.45 points on Wednesday. The NEPSE, which had been rising continuously for the previous five trading days, fell by 24.5 points on Wednesday. The overall NEPSE index rose to 2,935.94 points, down 0.82 percent from the previous day.

Of the 45 companies that were traded, the share price increased, the price of 213 companies decreased, and the price of 7 companies remained stable.

On that day, a total of 35.819 million shares were bought and sold in 138,256 transactions. Shares worth 15.09 billion rupees were traded in those transactions. The transaction amount increased compared to the previous day. Shares worth 14.839 billion rupees were traded on Tuesday.

Of the 13 subgroups that were traded on Wednesday, the index of production and processing and trade increased. The overall NEPSE fell by double digits after the indices of the remaining subgroups declined.
