The ninth International Women Entrepreneurs Trade Fair 2026 is scheduled to be held from Chaitra 20 to 22.
The decision was taken at the meeting of the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs Nepal on Tuesday. The fair will be held at the Heritage Garden in Lalitpur.
The federation, which has been conducting various programs for the social and economic empowerment of women, is organizing the ninth International Women Entrepreneurs Trade Fair 2026.
The fair aims to identify, encourage and increase the enthusiasm of successful women entrepreneurs from various districts and rural areas of the country for their entrepreneurship. The inaugural ceremony of the fair is said to be held on Chaitra 20.
The federation has established District Women Entrepreneurs Associations in 77 districts across Nepal and has already enrolled more than 6,000 women entrepreneurs. The federation claims that there are more than 100,000 indirect beneficiaries.
It is said that women entrepreneurs from different countries, including domestic, small and medium women entrepreneurs, businessmen and exporters from various districts of Nepal, will participate in the fair.
The fair will provide women entrepreneurs with an opportunity to showcase their indigenous and original products, expand their markets, network and collaborate in business. There will be a total of 140 stalls at the fair.
Handicrafts such as natural fiber products, Dhaka products, carpets, handmade paper products, organic food, indigenous food and dishes, agricultural products, herbal products, various statues, jewelry, decorative items, and stalls of various service providers will be displayed in an attractive manner.
The fair will bring forward the skills and creativity of district, national and international women entrepreneurs and help them identify themselves in the national and international markets, as well as encourage them to move forward, the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs claims. The fair will feature fabric and cosmetic products from India, 'electrolyte drinks' from China, cosmetic products and noodles from Korea, and recycled products from Bhutan, as well as the best products of international women entrepreneurs, the press release states.
