The 27th Flora Expo, which is being held at Bhrikuti Mandap in Kathmandu, has attracted 27,000 visitors. Organized by Floriculture Association Nepal and running until Chaitra 8 with the main slogan of 'Flower business for clean environment, employment and economic prosperity', the fair has generated over 5.1 million in turnover in two days. On the first day of the fair, which began on Thursday, 9,500 people visited it, and a turnover of 2.15 million rupees was generated, said Rajkrishna Bajgain, treasurer of Floriculture Association Nepal (FAN). According to him, on the second day, Friday, 17,500 visitors visited the fair, and a turnover of 2.95 million rupees was generated. With this, a total of 27,000 visitors visited the fair in two days, and the turnover has reached over 5.1 million rupees. The expo has a total of 83 stalls, including 65 commercial stalls, 11 official stalls, 2 competitive stalls, 2 food stalls, 1 landscape stall, 1 selfie stall, and 1 stall of BYD EV car stall. The flowers and plants produced by the participating flower entrepreneurs will be competed in various categories, said the fair's coordinator Ram Bahadur Tamang.

Coordinator Tamang said that this year's expo is expected to attract around 60,000 visitors and generate a turnover of over Rs 12 million. 

A blood donation program was also organized on Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm as part of social responsibility, said Sitaram Lamichhane, president of the Lions Club of Kathmandu Global Floriculture.  The Lions Club of Kathmandu Global Floriculture has been organizing blood donation programs and distributing free drinking water in the past as well.
