The wind caused the most damage to Poudel Agricultural Farm and Singha Devi Agro Farm. Megh Bahadur Khadka, the operator of Singha Devi Agro Farm, and Khagendra Poudel, the owner of Poudel Agricultural Farm, suffered damage worth more than Rs 1.6 million, according to Ward Chairman Deepak Gurung.
‘The damage to the vegetable cultivation inside the tunnel alone is estimated to be more than Rs 2.4 million,’ he said. Farmers have been cultivating vegetables by purchasing tunnels on loan subsidies.
The house and crops of local Ishwor Prasad Ojha have also been damaged. It is estimated that he has suffered damage of more than Rs 400,000.
