While air services affected by the regional situation in West Asia are gradually moving towards resumption, most international airlines are still operating limited flight schedules. Various airlines are cautiously expanding services, prioritizing the safety of passengers.

Dubai-based Emirates said on Monday it was operating limited flights after the partial reopening of its airspace.

The company urged passengers to check their flight status regularly before travel, check email updates and rebook via ‘Manage Your Booking’ or the mobile app if necessary. Passengers travelling between February 28 and March 31 have been given the option to change their dates or get a refund until April 30.

Fly Dubai also said it was gradually resuming services from Monday. The company is informing affected passengers directly about flight cancellations or changes and has asked them not to go to the airport until confirmed. Passengers can change their dates or get a full refund within 30 days without charge.

Similarly, Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways is operating flights to limited destinations, while most other commercial flights are still suspended. The company said it is informing passengers of flight status through direct contact and offering free rebooking until May 15. Passengers are urged to arrive at the airport on time as online check-in will not be available until March 21.

Air Arabia has also said it has resumed flights to limited destinations, subject to regulatory approval. Meanwhile, Qatar Airways has announced a limited flight schedule from March 18 to 28, although it will not resume regular services until Qatari airspace is fully reopened. Passengers are being offered two free date changes or refunds.

Overall, these major Gulf airlines have urged passengers not to go to the airport without flight confirmation, to keep their contact details up to date and to check their official websites or apps for the latest information. The companies have made it clear that full service will only resume once safety standards are met.

The current situation has shown that there is still uncertainty in international air travel, due to which passengers are advised to exercise extra caution when planning their travel.  Qatar, Air Arabia, and Fly Dubai fly to Nepal. After the attack on Dubai airport on Monday,  All flights to Kathmandu have been suspended.

According to a notice issued by Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday night, Qatar Airways, Jazeera Airways, Kuwait Airways, Fly Dubai, Nepal Airlines Corporation and Himalaya Airways had canceled 25 flights.
