After consumers complained about not getting gas, the District Administration Office, Bhaktapur, has monitored depots and sales centers.

A joint team led by the Administration Office, the Bhaktapur Industry and Commerce Office, the Cottage and Small Industries Association, the National Consumer Interest Forum, and the Federation of Journalists, Bhaktapur, conducted the monitoring in Byasi, Kamalbinayak, Jagati, and Suryabinayak of Bhaktapur.

During the monitoring, the District Administration Office stated that there was a shortage of gas in the market due to the high demand for cooking gas after most of the depots were receiving regular gas.

Administrative Officer of the District Administration Office, Bhagwat Prasad Regmi, said that the gas shortage in the market was due to consumers keeping gas in reserve. According to him, the gas shortage in the market was seen due to the fear of gas shortage among consumers due to the conflict in the Gulf countries. He said that the gas shortage in the market was due to keeping stocks in households. Rumors of gas shortage in the market are widespread.

At least 100 people have registered their names at each gas depot, said businessman Purna Bahadur Twati. He said that even though 600 gas is delivered every week, it has not been delivered to the consumers on time. Consumers are complaining that their turn has not come even though they have registered their names.
