The price of gold has decreased by 4,200 rupees per tola. According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Merchants Federation, gold is being traded at 313,400 rupees per tola on Friday.
The government had declared a public holiday on Thursday due to the election of the House of Representatives. That is why the federation did not fix the price.
On Wednesday, the price of gold fell by 11,000 rupees in a single day to 317,600 rupees per tola.
Similarly, the price of silver has also decreased by 95 rupees per tola on Friday. The federation has stated that silver is being traded at 5,445 rupees per tola in the market.
The federation has stated that the price of gold is falling due to the increase in the value of the dollar. However, the price of one dollar was 147 rupees on Thursday, while it has been fixed at 246 rupees on Friday.
