Dubai's other major airline, Fly Dubai, has partially resumed its flight schedule despite the closure of regional airspace. In an update issued after 3pm Dubai time on Tuesday, the company said it was operating limited flights from Terminals 2 and 3 of Dubai International Airport.
The company said it was prioritizing passengers affected by the current disruption. The company said it was continuously monitoring the evolving situation in coordination with relevant agencies and stakeholders and was working to gradually return to full operations once the temporary restrictions were lifted.
The company has urged passengers not to come to the airport until they have been contacted directly or their flights have been confirmed. Affected passengers are requested to update their contact details through the 'Manage Your Booking' system and check the latest flight information regularly.
The company expressed its gratitude for passengers' patience and cooperation, stating that the safety of passengers and crew is the highest priority. The company has stated that there may be some delays in service due to the high volume of phone calls to the Fly Dubai contact center.
Passengers traveling within the next 72 hours are advised to log in to ‘Manage Your Booking’ and check their options. Free rebooking on an alternative flight to the same destination within 20 days of the original travel date has been arranged. In addition, it has been urged to check the status of the flight and keep contact details updated before leaving for the airport.
For further assistance, stranded passengers can proceed with the rebooking or refund process through Fly Dubai’s contact center in Dubai (+971 600 54 44 45), the company’s travel shop, or the relevant travel agent.
