Emirates and Etihad Airways, the United Arab Emirates' major airlines, have resumed regular flights that were suspended since Saturday following the attacks in Iran, operating a limited number of flights.

On Monday, Emirates operated its first passenger flight from Dubai to London at 4:30 a.m. local time. That morning, five Emirates planes departed Dubai International Airport for Jeddah, Manchester, Paris, London and Frankfurt.

Notably, the first flight to London was tracked by more than 138,000 visitors on Flight Radar. It was the first flight from Dubai since Saturday's incident.

Similarly, Etihad Airways resumed flights from Abu Dhabi International Airport on Monday evening. 15 passenger flights took off within three hours, helping to transport transit passengers who had been grounded before the attacks in Iran.

Other flights departing Abu Dhabi on the day included two Etihad cargo planes, two IndiGo Airbus A320s (possibly empty) and a Lufthansa A380 after maintenance.

Both Emirates and Etihad said they were closely monitoring the situation and that passenger safety and timely information were their top priorities. The airline urged passengers to check their flight status online and confirm their bookings before heading to the airport.

Emirates is continuously monitoring the latest developments and is adjusting its flight schedule. It is providing updates on the company's official website and social media. All city check-in centers across Dubai have been temporarily closed until further notice.  Etihad Airways said it will release new updates after 2pm on Tuesday.
