NEPSE rises by 19 points, trading volume also increases

The NEPSE index, a measure of stock trading, rose by 19.27 points on Sunday. The NEPSE, which had been rising continuously for the previous four trading days, repeated the same trend on Sunday. The overall NEPSE rose by 0.72 percent compared to the previous day to 2,674.20 points. The NEPSE, which had been declining on most days in the previous weeks, has been increasing continuously since last week.

Among the companies traded, the share price of 187 increased, the price of 64 companies decreased, and the price of 11 companies remained stable. All subgroups traded increased. On Sunday, the share price of Salpa Bikas Bank and Reliance Spinning Mills increased by 9.99 percent. The share price of Barahi Hydropower Public increased by 6.74 percent, NIBL ​​Growth Fund by 6 percent, and Goodwill Finance by 3.62 percent. 

Along with this, the value of the assets of the shareholders of 187 companies increased. After the share price of those companies increased, the value of the assets of the shareholders has increased. However, the shareholders of 64 companies have suffered losses. After the share price of those companies decreased, the value of their assets has decreased. Accordingly, the share price of Himstar Urja Company decreased by 4.16 percent and that of Corporate Bikas Bank by 3.61 percent.

 Ridhi Vidyut Company is at the top on Sunday in terms of trading volume. The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) has reported that shares worth Rs 365 million were traded at a rate of Rs 856 per share. However, the value of the assets of the shareholders of 11 companies is neither in profit nor loss. 

A total of 55,206 shares worth Rs 5.64 billion were traded on Sunday. 13,93,462 shares were bought and sold in those transactions. The transaction amount has increased compared to the previous day. Shares worth Rs 4.17 billion were traded last Thursday. 

NEPSE was able to increase by double digits after all the indices of the 13 subgroups that were traded on Sunday increased. According to Nepse data, the banking subgroup index increased by 0.79, development banks by 0.77, finance companies by 2.22, hotels and tourism by 0.41, hydropower by 0.47, investment by 0.58, life insurance by 0.59, production and processing by 0.65, microfinance by 0.38, collective investment funds by 0.01, non-life insurance by 0.41, others by 1.19, and trade by 1.12 percent. 

After the increase in Nepse, the size of the stock market has expanded by about 32 billion in total market capitalization. Accordingly, the total market capitalization, which was 4.466 trillion rupees last Thursday, remained at 4.498 trillion rupees on Sunday, according to Nepse.
