Cardamom exports from the Mechi Customs Office have increased by 59.80 percent in the current fiscal year 2082/83 up to the end of Magh. According to the office, cardamom worth 8.61 billion 20 million 7 thousand was exported during that period.
Information Officer of the Mechi Customs Office Ishwar Kumar Humagain informed that 4,153.15 metric tons of cardamom have been exported so far in the current fiscal year. He said that cardamom worth 5.38 billion 80 million 20 thousand was exported during the same period of the previous fiscal year 2081/82.
According to the office's data, tea exports have decreased by 26.70 percent in the 10 months of the current fiscal year. 2.32 billion 12 million 56 thousand worth of tea has been exported during that period. Tea worth 3.16 billion 62 million 13 thousand was exported during the same period of 2081/82, informed Information Officer Humagain.
According to the office's data, the main exported items are veneer sheets by 91.10 percent, chhurpi by 63.30 percent, ginger, dried by 101.80 percent, cauliflower, broccoli and cabbage by 36.10 percent, and lentils by 316.20 percent, and herbs by 92.9 percent.
Similarly, plywood has decreased by 40.90 percent, and amriso by 24.90 percent. Goods worth Rs 16.3 billion 15.83 million have been exported from Mechi Bhansa by the end of Magh of the current fiscal year 2082/83.
