On Monday, the first day of weekly trading, the NEPSE closed down by about 8.25 points. The NEPSE, which had been continuously declining from Sunday to Wednesday last week, had closed up 8.97 points on Thursday to close at 2,671.07 points.

 

The stock market was closed on Sunday due to a public holiday . The market opened on Monday, and the increase from last Thursday could not continue . As a result, the NEPSE fell by 8.16 points on Monday . After a decrease of 0.30 percent compared to the previous day, the overall NEPSE closed at 2,662.91 points .

Of the companies that were traded on that day, the share prices of 86 companies increased, while the prices of 163 companies decreased . The remaining 9 companies remained stable .

A total of 19.616 million shares were traded on Monday in 80,559 share transactions. Shares worth 7.94 billion 27 million rupees were traded in those transactions . The transaction amount has decreased compared to the previous trading day . Last Thursday, the stock market had a turnover of 11.10 billion 25 million rupees .

Among the 13 subgroups that traded on that day, the indices of financial companies, hotels and tourism, and manufacturing and processing remained generally positive. However, the overall NEPSE fell after the indices of all the remaining subgroups declined.
