*Walk-in* applications for tourist visas will be accepted at the embassy from 9 am to 12 noon. Documents such as passport, e-visa receipt, plane ticket, bank statement, hotel booking, etc. will be required.
Due to technical issues with Malaysia's electronic visa (e-visa) system, the Embassy has decided to temporarily operate a manual visa processing counter in Kathmandu. The Embassy has set separate times and procedures for tourist and work visas.
For tourist visas, walk-in applications will be accepted at the embassy from 9 am to 12 noon. Documents such as passport, e-visa receipt, flight ticket, bank statement, hotel booking and others will be required.
The fee for a new application is Rs 700 per application. Payment can be made at the counter by cash or bank draft.
(For worker visas, you will have to come with an *appointment* only. For this,
- Passport
- E-visa receipt
- Calling letter (from a Malaysian company)
- Company or representative's email
- Additional supporting documents
- A copy of the email sent by the embassy must be submitted.
The embassy has not mentioned how long the manual counter will be operated. However, it has stated that this arrangement will continue until the problem in the e-visa system is resolved.
