NEPSE drops by double digits, trading volume increases

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index, which measures share trading, closed with a double-digit decline on Sunday. The NEPSE, which closed with a gain of 27.19 points last Thursday, fell by 10.25 points on Sunday.

 

After falling by 0.37 percent compared to Thursday, the overall NEPSE fell to 2,698.44 points on Sunday. Of the companies traded, 85 increased their share prices, while 168 decreased. The remaining 7 companies remained stable.  

A total of 26,236,204 shares were traded on Sunday in 111,978 share transactions. Shares worth Rs 11.65 billion were traded in those transactions. The trading amount increased compared to the previous day. Last Thursday, a transaction worth Rs 11.58 billion was traded in the stock market.  

Of the 13 subgroups traded on that day, the investment and other indices increased moderately.   After the indices of all the remaining subgroups decreased, the NEPSE fell by double digits.
