Rahul Babu received the award in the 'Future Great of the Year' category at a program organized at the famous hotel 'Atlantis The Royal' in the UAE.
Nepali chef Rahul Babu Shrestha has been awarded in the UAE. Five chefs, including Shrestha, were honored at the 'The Gold and Milo 2026 Awards' ceremony held in the UAE.
Shrestha received the award in the ‘Future Great of the Year’ category at a program organized at the famous hotel ‘Atlantis the Royal’ in the UAE.
He won the award after beating four competitors. Shrestha works as the head chef at the two-Michelin-starred restaurant ‘Ro on 45’ in the UAE. Awards were presented to 12 restaurants in various categories at the ceremony.
Shrestha, who studied at the University of East Anglia in the UK, is the son of Rajeshbabu Shrestha, director of the prestigious business house Chitwan Co-E Group in Nepal.
Choosing a different path from the traditional family business, he made a career in the culinary field and after completing his university studies, he trained in Michelin-starred kitchens such as the famous ‘Le Mans au Quai Saison’ in France and Marcus Wareing’s ‘The Square’. After that, he came to the UAE and worked in restaurants in London, Singapore and Norway.
