The bank's board of directors meeting has decided to appoint Sharma as CEO with effect from today (Tuesday). Earlier, the outgoing CEO Ashok Sherchan was suspended after the Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police started an investigation into banking offences. After that, the board of directors had given the responsibility of acting CEO to Niraj Lamsal on November 14.
