The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell by 12.5 points on Tuesday. The NEPSE, which had closed slightly higher the previous day, fell by 12.58 points on Tuesday.
The overall NEPSE fell to 2,683.15 points on Tuesday after falling by 0.46 percent compared to Monday.
Out of the companies traded, the share prices of 66 companies increased, the prices of 190 companies decreased. And the remaining 3 companies remained stable.
A total of 18.73 million 3,183 shares were traded on Tuesday in 92,338 share transactions.
Shares worth 8.63 billion 15 million rupees were traded in those transactions. This is an increase compared to the previous day. On Monday, a transaction worth 8.22 billion 39 million rupees was traded in the stock market.
Of the 13 subgroups traded on that day, the hotel and tourism, manufacturing and processing, and collective investment fund indices increased. The overall NEPSE fell by double digits after the indices of all the remaining subgroups decreased.
