The salary and wage index has increased by 6.03 percent in the same period of the current fiscal year compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year.
This index shows that the salary and wage of workers (laborers) has improved by 3.18 percentage points in the same period of this year compared to the same period of last year. In the same second quarter of last year, such an index had increased by 2.85 percent.

Accordingly, the salary and wage index growth rate of Koshi Province is 6.77, that of Madhesh Province is 4.42, that of Bagmati Province is 4.74, that of Gandaki Province is 9.71 percent, that of Lumbini Province is 8.64 percent and that of Sudurpaschim Province is 5.60 percent.
