NEPSE increases by a small percentage, turnover is 8.25 billion

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index rose marginally on Monday. The overall NEPSE closed at 2,695.73 points, up 1.53 points from the previous day. This is an increase of 0.05 percent.

The NEPSE, which had been declining continuously for the previous two trading days, followed a normal growth path on Monday. Out of the 114 companies that were traded, the share prices of 134 companies increased, the prices of 134 companies decreased. And the remaining 13 companies remained stable.  

A total of 17.77 million 7,776 shares were traded on Monday in 91,061 share transactions. Shares worth 8.22 billion 3.9 billion rupees were traded in those transactions. The trading amount also decreased compared to the previous day. On Sunday and Wednesday, the stock market saw a turnover of 9.10 billion 9.4 billion rupees.

Of the 13 subgroups that were traded on that day, the indices of the development banks, hotels and tourism, manufacturing and processing, non-life insurance and trade subgroups remained generally positive. As the indices of the remaining subgroups decreased, the overall NEPSE increased by a small number.
