The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell by 17.53 points on Thursday. The NEPSE, which closed the previous day up by 5 points, fell by 17.53 points to 2,714.05 points on Thursday. Compared to Wednesday, the NEPSE fell by 0.64 percent on Thursday.

Of the 13 companies that were traded, the share price of 85 increased, the price of 170 companies decreased. And the remaining 5 companies remained stable.

On Thursday, a total of 138,883 shares were traded, with 35,477,939 shares being traded. Shares worth Rs 14.56 billion and 31 million were traded in those transactions.

The trading amount increased compared to the previous day. On Wednesday, a transaction worth Rs 11.49 billion and 39 million were traded in the stock market.

Of the 13 subgroups that were traded that day, the indices of hydropower, investment and mutual funds remained generally positive. The indices of all the remaining subgroups declined, resulting in a double-digit decline in the overall NEPSE.
