According to Shiva Khanal, Information Officer of the Eastern Section of the Butwal-Narayangadh Road Expansion Project, preparations are underway to bring the bridge constructed over Arunkhola into operation before the Falgun 21 elections.
The construction of 61 bridges has been completed along the Butwal-Narayangadh road section, which is under expansion. Out of the 34 bridges to be constructed in the eastern section, all the bridges have been completed.
According to Shiva Khanal, Information Officer of the Eastern Section of the Butwal-Narayangadh Road Expansion Project, the construction of 12 large and 22 small bridges has been completed.
Out of the completed construction, 33 bridges have been opened for traffic. The bridge built in Arunkhola is being prepared to be opened before the Falgun 21 elections. The work of 211 culverts to be constructed on the eastern section has also been completed.
The work of 9 large bridges to be constructed on the western section of the road expansion has been completed. The project has stated that 18 of the 19 small bridges have been completed and only some work remains on the bridge under construction at Triveni Chowk in Bardaghat. Traffic has become easier after the construction of the bridge and culvert.
Although the work started in Magh 2075 and was to be completed on Shrawan 22, 2079, the China State Construction Corporation Pvt. Ltd. took over the construction for the fourth time. The extended deadline expires in the upcoming Shrawan. The 113-kilometer expansion is being carried out at a cost of about 17 billion rupees with the help of a loan from the Asian Development Bank.
