The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index, which measures share trading, fell by 9.43 points. After rising by double digits on Tuesday, the index fell by 0.34 percent on Wednesday.

A total of 82 companies increased their share prices, 174 companies decreased their share prices, and 3 companies remained stable. Out of a total of 13 subgroups, only other subgroups increased. All the remaining subgroups decreased.

A total of 89,766 shares worth Rs 8.92 billion were traded. On Tuesday, shares worth Rs 11.85 billion were traded. On Wednesday, the trading volume decreased.

A total of 21.641 thousand 883 shares were traded. Kalika Power Company increased by 9.84 percent, Narayani Bikas Bank by 9.16 percent, River Falls Power by 5.50 percent, Bikas Hydropower by 4.98 percent, and Mandu Hydropower by 4.58 percent.
