Foreign trade worth 1.1 trillion baht in 6 months, imports 87 percent and exports 13 percent

Foreign trade increased by 17.36 percent in the first six months of the current fiscal year compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year.

Foreign trade worth 1.1 trillion baht in 6 months, imports 87 percent and exports 13 percent

In the first six months of the current fiscal year, Nepal has conducted foreign trade worth 1.1 trillion rupees with various countries.

Foreign trade has increased by 17.36 percent in the same period of the current fiscal year compared to the first 6 months of the previous fiscal year. Foreign trade worth Rs 921 billion was done in the first 6 months of the previous fiscal year.

Of the total foreign trade in the last 6 months, 86.86 percent was import and 13.14 percent was export. From last Shrawan to Poush, imports worth Rs 939 billion were done. The Department of Customs has stated that imports have increased by 14.18 percent this year compared to the last fiscal year. Foreign trade worth Rs 822 billion was done in the first 6 months of the previous year.

Similarly, goods worth Rs 142 billion have been exported from Nepal in the last 6 months. Exports this year have increased by 43.76 percent compared to the last fiscal year. Exports worth Rs 98.87 billion were done until Poush of the previous fiscal year.

The country's trade deficit in the last 6 months is Rs 797 billion. This year's trade deficit has increased by 10.15 percent compared to the previous fiscal year.
