NEPSE rises by 31 points on first day of week, turnover of Rs 8.5 billion

On Sunday, the NEPSE rose by more than 31 points as share prices of 224 companies increased, while trading volume increased significantly compared to the previous day.

On the first day of the week, Sunday, the NEPSE index, which measures stock trading, rose by 31.12 points. The overall NEPSE closed at 2,672.55 points, up 1.17 percent from the previous trading day.

On Sunday, the share prices of 224 companies that were traded increased, the prices of 31 companies decreased, and the prices of 5 companies remained unchanged. The overall NEPSE rose by double digits as the number of companies that fell was much lower than the number that rose on this day.

A total of 16.6 million 11 thousand 479 shares were bought and sold in 95,445 share transactions on that day. The transaction value of these transactions was 8.4 billion 40 million 27 million rupees. The transaction value increased compared to the previous trading day. Last Thursday, shares worth 6.2 billion 20 million 94 million rupees were traded in the stock market.

The overall NEPSE rose by more than 31 points after all the indices of the 13 subgroups that were traded increased on that day.
