After complaints from consumers in areas including Syuchatar and Balaju have increased, stating that electricity has been going on and off in the evenings for the past two days, Nepal Electricity Authority Executive Director Hitendra Dev Shakya has instructed those concerned to identify the technical problem and resolve it.

After receiving such complaints from consumers, he conducted an on-site inspection and held discussions with the concerned parties today.

Shakya has been continuously trying to resolve the problem since Thursday. On Friday, around 10 am, he reached the Nepal Electricity Authority's Distribution and Customer Service East Lagankhel Distribution Center and Jawalakhel Center for an emergency inspection and inquired about the situation there.

He had a discussion with the grid and higher-level employees at the load dispatch center Sutachar late on Thursday night. During the discussion, he directed to immediately identify the technical problem and find a solution.

Director Shakya said that the Authority's focus is not only on providing electricity but also on providing quality electricity and urged consumers not to panic over the general technical problems that arise from time to time, and pledged that the Authority will move forward to resolve the technical problem immediately if it is found.

The Authority has also informed that as the demand for electricity increases with the increase in the use of electrical appliances including heaters and ACs, general technical problems may sometimes appear, and it will move forward after resolving them. The authority has also urged everyone not to suspect that 'load shedding' is occurring.
