Far Western Agro Giant Limited, located in Amargadhi-1, Maurada, has started processing soybeans and producing 'Ramsila' brand oil and spices.

The industry, which was established 6 years ago, has been producing oil and soybeans since last Chaitra. Dharam Singh Air, chairman of the board of directors of the industry, said that they are producing oil from soybeans and soy soybeans from its pulp.

‘By producing soybeans, farmers have been able to sell directly to the industry,’ he said, ‘the aim is to connect farmers with soybean production and the market.’ The company has stated that it plans to purchase soybeans from all districts of the province.

Air said that preparations are being made to purchase soybeans by coordinating with government agencies for seed distribution, technical assistance and agreements with farmer groups. Coordination has been made with the ‘Soybean Zone’ program under the National Agricultural Modernization Project to expand farming. Chairman Air said that a long-term plan has been made to increase production by collaborating with the local government, Agricultural Knowledge Center, farmer groups and shareholders.

The industry has a capacity to crush one hundred quintals of soybeans per day. He said that this will make it possible to produce about 10 quintals of oil and 10 quintals of soybean meal. Currently, the industry is not operating at full capacity due to lack of raw materials. Currently, about 4 quintals of soybean meal are being produced daily. Soybean oil has been produced on the same average. The company is preparing to send its products to Dadeldhura, Dhangadhi, Dipayal and Baitadi.
