The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index, which measures share trading, closed down by double digits on Wednesday. The NEPSE, which had increased in the previous two trading days, fell by 13.35 points on Wednesday.

This is 0.50 percent lower than the previous day. With this, the overall NEPSE has fallen to 2,635.94 points.

Out of the 13 sub-groups traded on Wednesday, the share prices of 62 companies increased, the prices of 187 companies decreased and 10 companies remained unchanged. As the number of companies that decreased their share prices on this day was more than the number that increased, the overall NEPSE has decreased by double digits.

On that day, 16,333,717 shares were bought and sold in a total of 72,474 share transactions. The transaction value of these transactions is Rs 5,175 billion.

The transaction value has decreased compared to the previous day. Last Tuesday, shares worth Rs 7,123.3 billion were traded in the stock market.

Of the 13 sub-groups traded on that day, the index of financial companies increased. The trading volume remained stable. The indices of all the remaining sub-groups have decreased.
