Gen-G activist Raksha Bam said the common ground between the private sector, government, and citizens is peace, prosperity, and good governance.
Addressing a large gathering organized by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Kathmandu on Wednesday under the theme of cooperation for peace, stability and prosperity, she said that although corruption prevention and good governance are the common desires of all, the continued existence of corruption in the country is serious. ‘Everyone’s desire is that there should be no corruption.’ But the question still arises as to why there is corruption in the country,’ she said. ‘Everyone should take their share of responsibility to solve the problem.’
She mentioned that the private sector suffered huge losses during the protests in Bhadra and said that no one wanted that situation. ‘There was huge losses in the private sector. We did not want that. The situation of the 24th came about because of the 23rd,’ she said. ‘The government should play an active role to repair the losses in the private sector and create employment opportunities for the youth in this country.’
