Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal has said that the expenses for the upcoming elections to be held in Falgun will be met from the current budget. At a program organized in the capital, Finance Minister Khanal said that the expenses for the elections have been met by withholding the budget of 4,000 schemes worth 30 million rupees in the current fiscal year's budget.

Finance Minister Khanal said that he had stopped about 120 billion projects that were not ready after he became the Finance Minister. 

'We have already approved 6.9 billion for the Election Commission. It is in the process of being spent. About 17 billion will be spent on temporary police. 25-26 billion will be spent on equipment, motor vehicles,' he said.
