National Mushroom Day has been officially celebrated in Nepal for the first time. Various programs were organized across the country on Tuesday to mark the day.
The government had decided to celebrate Poush 15 as National Mushroom Day in its cabinet meeting on Poush 11. Various types of mushroom dishes and mushrooms have been put on display.
Mushroom cultivation has expanded to 70 districts in Nepal and commercial production is underway in 40 districts.
