On Sunday, a total of 89,251 share transactions were made, totaling 13.468 million shares, worth Rs 5.531 billion.
The Nepal Stock Exchange of Nepal (NEPSE) index, which measures share trading, rose by double digits on Sunday, the first day of weekly trading. The NEPSE, which had risen by a few points in the previous two trading days, rose by 47.55 points on Sunday. The overall NEPSE has risen to 2,633.42 points after increasing by 1.83 percent compared to last Thursday.
After four trading days, the NEPSE has risen to 2,600 points again. After a decline of 19.92 points last Sunday, the overall NEPSE had reached 2,595.10 points.
A total of 238 companies increased their share prices, while 21 companies decreased their prices. All 13 sub-groups that were traded increased. The highest were non-life insurance, manufacturing and processing, and hotels and tourism.
On Sunday, 13,468,145 shares were traded in a total of 89,251 times. A total of 5.53 billion 13 million rupees were traded in those transactions.
The trading amount increased compared to the previous day. Last Thursday, shares worth 3.22 billion 4.6 million rupees were traded in the stock market.
