Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagadish Kharel distributed certificates to the newly elected working committee members on the occasion of the association's general meeting.

Minister Kharel said that the mandate of the current government is to hold elections on 21 Falgun and that he is engaged in marketing it. 'We have been working hard to create an environment for the election by reaching the party offices, meeting the leaders and discussing with all the stakeholders,' he said, 'Now the election is assured.'

He mentioned that the election was also assured by the meeting held by Prime Minister Sushila Karki with the top leaders of the main parties at the President's Residence. He said that the country's industry, trade and business are currently in a state of devastation and the government is trying to work with the private sector.

The new working committee of the association was welcomed and congratulated at the general meeting. The association led by Swar has also welcomed the new advisory committee. Chairman Swar said that the marketing sector is contributing 10 percent to the country's gross domestic product (GDP) and Nepal should also mobilize this sector.

'The marketing sector can make a great contribution to the identity of various sectors of Nepal and the global marketing of business,' Swar said, 'We are ready to do this work in Nepal too. We are ready to collaborate with the government, the Planning Commission and the private sector. I urge the government to create a suitable environment for that.'
