Gold and silver prices have hit a new record. The price of gold has increased by Rs 5,500 per tola in a single day.

On Monday, the price of gold increased by 3,500 rupees per tola to 261,700 rupees. The Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Federation said that gold was being traded at 267,200 rupees per tola on Tuesday.

The price of silver increased by 20 rupees per tola on Tuesday. It had increased by 130 rupees on Monday.

Silver, which was 4,235 rupees per tola on Monday, is being traded at 4,255 rupees on Tuesday, the federation said.
