Goods worth 766.18 billion rupees have been imported in the five months of the current fiscal year (Shrawan-Mansir).

 According to the monthly report released by the Department of Customs, imports have increased by 15.83 percent . According to the department, goods worth Rs 116.5 billion have been exported to various countries . Exports have also increased by 58.17 percent . 

According to the department, in the five months crude soybean oil, diesel, petrol, cooking gas, fruit products, smartphones, diammonium hydrogen orthophosphate and other goods have been imported the most . 

Nepal has exported refined soybean oil, cardamom, carpet, sunflower oil, unbleached jute cloth, other felt materials, and palm oil to other countries . 

The trade deficit is increasing as Nepal imports goods worth more than it exports.
