NEPSE falls below 2,600 again, down 20 points

The NEPSE, which was at 2,594 last Sunday, reached above 2,600 on Monday, but with Sunday's decline, the overall NEPSE fell to 2,595.10 points.

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index, which measures share trading, fell by 19.92 points on Sunday. The overall NEPSE fell by 0.76 percent compared to last Thursday, to 2,595.10 points. With this, the NEPSE has been continuously falling for the last two days.

Last Thursday, the NEPSE closed down by 10.5 points. On Sunday, the NEPSE followed the trend of Thursday. On Sunday, the NEPSE again fell below 2,600. This is the same as last Sunday. Last Sunday, the NEPSE was at 2,594.87 points. On Monday, the NEPSE had reached above 2,600. 

Of the companies that traded on Sunday, the share prices of 43 companies increased, the prices of 270 companies decreased, and the prices of 7 companies remained stable. On this day, the number of companies that decreased their share prices was more than the number that increased, so the overall NEPSE fell by double digits. On this day, the share price of the NEPSE SY Panel increased by the most by 9.99 percent and the Citizens Bank bond by 9.98 percent. Along with these, the share prices of 43 companies increased on Sunday. 

On Sunday, the share price of Sindhu Bikas Bank decreased by the most by 10 percent. The share price of Narayani Bikas Bank decreased by 7.55 percent and the share price of Upper Syange Hydropower Company decreased by 7.45 percent. On this day, 12,859,334 shares were traded in a total of 70,576 transactions. The transaction value of these transactions was Rs 4,528,700. 

The transaction value on Sunday was slightly lower than the previous day. Last Thursday, shares worth Rs 4,577,800 were traded in the stock market. On Sunday, the share price of Swastik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha was the highest on the basis of transaction value. That day, shares worth Rs 135,280,000 were traded.

Of the 13 subgroups that were traded on Sunday, all indices except for collective investment funds declined. On that day, the index of the collective investment fund subgroup remained positive by 0.19 percent. After the NEPSE fell by about 20 points, the size of the stock market has shrunk by 33.5 billion. The total market capitalization, which was Rs 4,390 billion last Thursday, decreased to Rs 4,357 billion on Sunday.
