Sushil Gyawali, Chief Executive Officer of the Investment Board, has said that it is necessary to connect the capital of Lumbini Province with Butwal-Bhairahawa and Nepalgunj to make it economically viable.

Speaking at the review program of the master plan of the capital of Lumbini Province in the presence of the Chief Minister of Lumbini, Chief Executive Officer Gyawali expressed the view that the effectiveness of the capital will increase by connecting the infrastructure, cities and checkpoints of the north-south, east-west.

Stating that there are many opportunities for investment in the capital of Lumbini Province, Gyawali said that private sector investment will increase if the necessary infrastructure, including water and transportation, is available.

Chief Minister of Lumbini Province Chetnarayan Acharya said that the roads connected to the capital will be developed as soon as possible in a systematic manner. He said that initiatives are being taken to connect tourist areas as well. He also urged for cooperation in raising investment.

The participants of the program expressed the view that it is necessary to connect agriculture, investment, Rapti civilization, Swargadwari Temple, health, education, public life, etc. with the capital. They said that the master plan should be implemented and the suggestions should be incorporated and the move should be made.

The master plan for the capital of Lumbini Province has been prepared and is in the process of implementation. The program was attended by the Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Urban Development, Joint Secretary of the Investment Board, Vice Chairman of the Lumbini Province Planning Commission, Chief Executive Officer of the Lumbini Province Infrastructure Development Authority, experts and others.
