Civil society, Ranjha-Banke has drawn the attention of the government to develop and expand the airport in Nepalgunj as an international airport.

The society's coordinator, Padam Aryal, demanded the construction of an international airport as the infrastructure including the terminal building has already been constructed at Ranjha Airport, located in the western region of the country.

At a program organized by Reports Club Nepal, Coordinator Aryal requested the development and expansion of Ranjha as an international airport, especially targeting Indian tourists who want to travel to Mansarovar Yatra through Nepal and visit tourist spots in the region, including Rara and Phoksundo Lake.

The Ranjha-Banke society has demanded the airport here be modernized and operated as an international airport. Since it will directly provide relief to the industries, businesses, hotels, tourism, and transportation sectors of the Nepalgunj region, the society has requested the expansion of the airport in the first phase to be able to fly to major cities, including the capital of neighboring India, Delhi.
