The seventh edition of the Chinese language training conducted in Nepal to develop human resources targeting Chinese tourists concluded on Friday.
The Nepal Tourism Board has organized a training for tourism professionals and students in collaboration with the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu and the Nepal-China Cultural and Educational Council (NCCEC).
This training, which is conducted regularly every year, has been providing Chinese language training to more than 50 participants annually. The program was launched after the bilateral assistance agreement signed during the visit of the then Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' to China.
The closing ceremony was attended by Deputy Chief of the Chinese Embassy Zhou Pan, Director General of the Department of Tourism Ram Krishna Lamichhane, and Senior Director of the Nepal Tourism Board Hikmat Singh Air. Certificates were distributed to the seventh batch of trainees on the occasion.
The participants in the program presented presentations in Chinese, performed cultural programs, and performed martial arts. While addressing the gathering, the speakers expressed their belief that the development of skilled human resources in Chinese would make a significant contribution to the promotion of Nepal-China tourism and economic cooperation.
