The NEPSE index, a measure of share trading, rose by 18.37 points on Tuesday. After a 0.70 percent increase, the overall NEPSE rose to 2619.99 points. On Monday, the NEPSE had risen by 6.74 points.

Of the companies that traded on Tuesday, 187 increased their share prices, 61 decreased their prices, and 11 remained stable.

All subgroup indices except trade increased. The trade subgroup decreased by 0.52 points. Hotel and Tourism increased by 103.13, Non-Life Insurance by 96.87, Life Insurance by 92.07, and Development Bank by 83.91 points. A total of 7.844 billion shares were traded in 55,078 transactions.

Although the NEPSE index increased, the share trading volume decreased on Tuesday compared to Monday. On Monday, Rs 3.44 billion 19 million was traded, while on Tuesday, Rs 3.29 billion 42 million was traded.

The circuit break occurred after the share price of Swastik Laghubitta increased by 10 percent. Narayani Bikas Bank increased by 9.99 percent, SY Panel Nepal by 9.98 percent, Barahi Hydropower Public Limited by 7.04 percent, and Lumbini Bikas Bank by 5.81 percent.

Share prices of Shweta Ganga Hydropower and Construction fell by 4.16 percent, Laxmi Bank Debenture (2086) by 2.80 percent, Nifra Green Energy Debenture (2088-89) by 2.80 percent, Bottlers Nepal (Balaju) by 2 percent, and Civil Bank Debenture (2088) by 1.99 percent.
