Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) commitments of Rs 1.91 billion 4.9 billion have been received in the month of Mangsir of the current fiscal year. According to the data released by the Department of Industries, investment commitments have been received in 56 industries.

Investment commitments have been made in 54 small and 2 medium industries. The department has stated that investment commitments of Rs 38.59 billion 66 million have been made in 438 industries in the five months of the current fiscal year. The department has stated that it has committed to providing employment to 33,814 people during this period.

In the five months, investment commitments have been made in information and technology, 54 percent in manufacturing, 6 percent in agriculture, 3 percent in tourism, and 6 percent in the service sector.
