The Cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to introduce Indian rupee notes of denominations greater than Rs 100 into circulation in Nepal as well.

Indian currency notes (Bhaaru) of denominations greater than one hundred rupees will now be used in Nepal as well.

The Cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to bring into circulation Indian currency notes of denominations higher than Rs 100 in Nepal as well.

Two weeks ago, the Indian government had allowed the import and export of Indian currency notes of denominations higher than Rs 100 to Nepal and Bhutan up to Rs 25,000 per person. Based on this, the Nepal government has also decided to allow the circulation of such notes in Nepal.
