The NEPSE index, a gauge of stock trading, fell by 1.66 points on Thursday. The overall NEPSE fell by 0.06 percent compared to Wednesday, to 2,673.7 points.

On Wednesday, the NEPSE fell by about 5 points. The market followed the same trend on Thursday as well.

Out of the 13 sub-groups that were traded on that day, the share prices of 98 companies increased, the prices of 149 companies decreased, and the prices of 11 companies remained stable. The overall NEPSE fell as the number of companies that saw their share prices decline more than increase on that day.

On Thursday, 7,768,601 shares were traded in a total of 69,729 times. A total of 3,497.9 billion rupees were traded in those transactions. The trading amount also decreased compared to the previous day. On Wednesday, shares worth 3,738.7 billion rupees were traded in the stock market.

Of the 13 sub-groups that were traded on that day, the indices of  Banking, Life Insurance, Manufacturing and Processing, Microfinance, and Trade increased. The indices of the remaining sub-groups decreased.
